Thanx for the Potris. Had not read it before. I say the siva sahasranamam ( Shivoh maheshwara shambho pinaki etc etc) everyday because Shiva is my favourite deity, I consider him my constant friend. Not like a God.

I read your other illuminating post on Shiva too.

Do you keep awake ? I cant. ! but before going to bed, I play the Rudram cassette three times. Thats all.

I am surprised you chant Shiva Sahasranamam everday! Less common, I would say!!
Yes, God becomes a friend & more a confidante over a period of time !
No, I don't keep awake on Shivarathri night.
