South Beach diet

    yes thats why i like this diet sooo much...i forgot that i loved rice so much...it feels so good.!!
    i dont keep a track of everything .my only principles are:
    DOnt stay hungry.
    eat just the amount to satisfy hunger not more than that.

    i think with this diet it will do.one of my favorite snack is yogurt.i couldn't find any low fat sugar free yogurt from store.so i make my own flavored one.i add the sugar substitute to my low fat yogurt and extract(strawberry or vanilla) and yippeee i get the wonderful yoplait kindof without sugar.

    and the recipes i follow are from the blog i have provided in one of my previous post.kalyn's kitchen blogspot.

    i will try to add a sample day diet from the book.you can use the same plan and substitute curries of your choice to the plan.just give me some time,i will post more recipes before monday !

    just hang in there dear and u'll love urself for it

    Gals...I have started my day 1...so far so just had some green tea without sugar and added a few spices like sauf,dal chinni,adrak...i used to have this...they say it helps in weight loss...n i love the taste....so i think im going to stop my regular tea for this two weeks and will have this....

    yaar...breakfast is a big problem...since we cannot have any upma,poha,roti,bread,cereal...please suggest something besides egg...cannot eat egg everyday...boringgggg :))

    dal pancakes
    grilled tomatoes
    soya patties
    vege chaat

    u just need to get out d conventional mode

    hi all,
    i have egg everyday ,but add to it different ingredients.
    red/green peppers or i add some greens ,wait until it wilts and then add egg and prepare.

    nita can you post recipes of dal pancake etc.

    i am pretty much doing the same thing.... egg in different forms or withe varying ingredients.

    DAL PANCAKES......

    3 types of dal = split moong....urad dhuli and chana ( proportion should be.. 1 cup, 1/2 cup and 1/3 cup of dal in the order given.

    soak overnite if making for breakfast or for 3-4 hrs.

    grind to a paste along with a small piece of ginger, green chillies and garlic. i even add tomato puree n pizza seasoning to give it a rich flavor.

    now spread out like dosas or pancakes. u can stuff with veges or chicken mince or paneer or watever.......

    they r yum n a lifeline for those on d 1st phase of SBD.

    hope d recipe is clear enough otherwise u knw whr to find me......

    PS. u can retain all or 3/4 of d skin of d moong dal. its very rich in fibre.
