    I am very fond of lullabies. I have a great collection of them. This one is from Do Biga Zamin released in 1953. Meena Kumari was just 20 then

    :hello:It is siesta time I listened to your lullaby song of yore.
    I had a vicarious feel of lying in a hammock and my late mom come alive to swing it .
    Carnatic Rag Neelambari is extensively used for lullaby songs in tamil. I am unable to recall what my mom sang to put me into sleep in that cotton-cloth made cradle!

    In Hindustani dwajawanti invariably attempted to sing lullabies .
    Listening to this one can overcome sleep disorders a music therapist reports.
