    Hi,
Long time back I saw in a somebody's house a writing/drawing board (like slate, kids can keep it in their lap) with a pen attached to it. There is some provision to clear the slate/board. Can anybody tell me the name of such slate, where it is available and also the price. I really would like to buy one for my 11/2 year old kid.

    Thanks

It's called magnetic slate (the writing vanishes when a knob is pushed)These days you get it in many designs and varieties..expensive ones as well as cheap ones. Try in small toy shops or stationary shops, I am sure you will get one.

    Hi radhee,
Is it...is the quality good? and how much does it cost approximately...I'm also thinking of getting them as gifts to some other people in India...so if the quality/choice and price is about the same, I better get it there instead of bringing from here...please let me know..if u know the details...

    thanks

I got it from Connexions, Annanagar, for about Rs. 180, I think. In Saravana Stores, it must be cheaper.

Regarding quality, we have been using it for almost 6 months mainly for scribbling and handled by a 1-1/4-yo toddler. Its pretty good so far. I have not used Doodlepro, So i am unable to compare the quality.
