Hi Ils, I happened to purchase these small pumpkins trusting tht my MIL would know some recipes but unfortunately she has never cooked pumpkins I am a south indian, can you please suggest some recipes.. kootu etc with the list of ingredients and method, thank you
I think I have seen these type of squash in US.. not sure what it is..but I guess you can cook it in the same way as other squashes like chow chow, white pumpkin.. chop them and boil them in water..if it doesnt get cooked properly pressure cook them until they are soft...also pressure cook some moong dal.. grind together coconut, jeera and redchillies.. add the cooked moong dal to the vegetable and also add the ground paste.. cook it for sometime and add salt.. and finally put tadka of mustard and urad dhal..also add a pinch of hing..
