Slokas Slokas are verses written in praise of Gods. These are mostly written in Sanskrit and chanting them is a way to pray god. Mantras and Slokas are almost similar. While Slokas do have a poetic style, Mantras has a religious significance. These are a few collections of some Slokas which would be helpful for our daily recitation for various purposes. The Smaller ones can be taught to children’s easily for their small number of lines and they can recite them to be taught easily. At the middle of the hand stays Saraswathi, goddess of Knowledge & Learning. At the root of the hand stays Mother gauri, goddess of protection. Visualizing in this manner, I take the darshan of my hands every morning.
