    Slokas

    Slokas are verses written in praise of Gods. These are mostly written in Sanskrit and chanting them is a way to pray god. Mantras and Slokas are almost similar. While Slokas do have a poetic style, Mantras has a religious significance.

    These are a few collections of some Slokas which would be helpful for our daily recitation for various purposes. The Smaller ones can be taught to children’s easily for their small number of lines and they can recite them to be taught easily.

    Chanting simple Slokas for the children give them a spiritual blossoming in their life.

    Very Important Mantra that can be recited by everyone.


    5. “Om Bhoor Bhuwah Swah, Tat Savitur Varenyam,

    Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayaat”


    Scientific research says Gayatri Mantra is the most powerful mantra in the world.

    This is also broadcasted daily for 15 minutes from 7 PM Over radio Paramaribo, Surinam, SouthAmerica for the past two years, and in Amsterdam, Holland for the last six months


    This was the highest and was found to be the most powerful hymn in the world.
    Through the combination of sound or sound waves of a particular frequency, this Mantra is claimed to be capable of developing specific spiritual potentialities.

    9. “Karaagre Vasate Lakshmi

    Kara Madhye Saraswathi

    Kara Moole Sthitha Gauri

    Prabhahate Kara Darshanam”


    Meaning :

    At the tips of the hand stays laxmi, the goddess of Prosperity & Wealth.

    At the middle of the hand stays Saraswathi, goddess of Knowledge & Learning.

    At the root of the hand stays Mother gauri, goddess of protection.

    Visualizing in this manner, I take the darshan of my hands every morning.

    To be recited before having food praising Goddess Annapoorani


    10. “Annaporani Sada Poorani

    Sankara Prana vallabhe

    Gnana Vairaaghya Sidhyartham

    Bikshan thegicha Parvathi:”

    To be recited at bed time.

    This can be recited before going to sleep in night and to avoid bad dreams

    Meaning

    Mother is Narasimha; Father is Narasimha
    Brother is Narasimha; Friend is Narasimha
    Knowledge is Narasimha; Wealth is Narasimha
    My Lord is Narasimha; Everything is Narasimha.
    Narasimha is in this world, Narasimha is everywhere (Omnipresent)
    Wherever I go, there is Narasimha
    Narasimha is the Supreme Lord, there is none other than HIM
    So, I humbly seek refuge in you, Shri Narasimha

    Significance

    One who prays lord hayagriva will be blessed with all knowledge and wisdom. Vishnu took this avatar to recover the vedas from demons. This stotra can be recited by childrens for getting good knowledge.
