    Way to bleach your skin

The melanin in the body determines the colour of the skin. Most skin whitening products and bleaches work by reducing the production of the melanin. Some mild skin whitening products act like sunscreen. They absorb the harmful UV rays to prevent skin darkening or pigmentation.

Hydroquinone is the powerful chemical used in the cosmetics to remove the pigmentations from the skin surface. Such chemicals have the ability to turn dark complexioned skin into fair complexioned skin. Though such chemicals do wonders, they also bring risks with them.

Skin bleaching is an ancient technique to get a clearer and fairer skin. Bleach is the formulae to lighten your skin tone. Bleaches are also used on hair. Skin bleaches contain hydrogen peroxide, which can harm your skin if used without proper care and precautions. There is no harm in using skin bleaches if you are following proper guidelines.

    • Do the patch test before using any skin bleach. Apply little bleach under the ear and examine for 48 hours. If any reaction such as irritation, redness, inflammation or any kind of discomfort takes place, do not use the product.
    • Read and follow each and every instruction on the leaflet that comes with the product.
    • Do not apply skin bleach near sensitive areas such as eyes and nose.
    • Bleach is for lightening dark spots on the skin or hair. Apply bleaching cream only on the area you wish to make lighter.
    • Some people make use of bleaching cream to hide fine facial hair. In such case, do not apply excessive bleach.
    • After using skin bleach, apply sunscreen lotion with SPF 30 before going out in the sun.
    • Avoid using soap; instead use a good quality face wash that suits your skin type.
    • Make cleansing, toning, and moisturising essential parts of your skin care routine.

    Homemade skin bleach

People who are allergic to over-the-counter skin bleach products can bleach skin at home. Effective skin bleach can be made by using some natural ingredients from the kitchen shelf. Home remedies are proven to be highly effective solution on dark spots, blemishes, uneven complexion, and dark skin tone. Make natural skin remedies the part of your daily skin care routine and get flawless skin. Here are some homemade skin-whitening recipes to give your skin a natural glow.

    • Take a bowl and add one teaspoon of milk powder, 1 teaspoon of honey, and ½ teaspoon of almond oil. Mix it together and apply on your face and neck. Wash the face after 15 minutes.
    • Make a thick paste of a teaspoon of gram flour and 2 teaspoons of raw milk. Add few drops of lemon juice in it. Apply the mixture to the face and wash it off after 15 minutes.
    • Mix 2 teaspoons of tomato juice and a few drops of lemon juice together and apply it on face. Wash off after 15 minutes.
    • Take some fresh aloe Vera jel and massage it on all over the face. Let it dry for about 15 minutes before washing it off.
Skin bleach, if used appropriately will enhance your beauty. Blemishes are nightmarish. They may endanger your confidence. Nowadays bleaches for men are also available. Though dark men are considered to be handsome for ages, guys do desire to look fair. Skin bleaches make your desires to be fair come true. Do not be surprised if your mirror points at you when you ask, 'Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?'

Did you know that there's a beauty parlour hiding in your kitchen?
Working women have it tough. In between rushing to work and back, juggling car pools, co-ordinating with baby sitters, cooking and house-keeping, they scarcely have time to take a deep breath. As far as visits to the beauty parlour are concerned, they are at the bottom of the priority ladder! But fear not, help is at hand.
Take a look around your kitchen shelf. You'll be surprised at what you find. Did you know that tomato and lime are excellent bleaching agents? And this is just the tip of the 'ice' berg. Find out more as you read on.
    1. Unboiled milk is an excellent cleanser. Dip a piece of cotton wool in a little cold milk and rub it gently on your face. You will see a lot of dirt on the cotton. Keep cleaning your face in a circular upward movement until the cotton comes out completely clean.

    2. Ice-cold water is an excellent astringent and skin freshener and serves to close the pores that have opened while cleansing. It also tones the skin.

3.Cream or 'malai' is a very good moisturizer and it needs to be applied to replace the oils that are lost while cleansing and toning. It will keep your skin supple and young.

    4. Equal quantities of corn flour, jowar flour (atta) and cream (malai) can give you an instant facelift. You need to make a paste and apply it on your face. Wash it off after it dries. While jowar atta will remove the dead cells, corn flour will tone up and tighten the skin and the cream will moisturize it.

    5. Cabbage juice mixed with a little yeast and a tablespoon of honey is an excellent remedy for dry skin. Leave a thick paste on your face for about 15 minutes for best results.

    6. Lettuce juice mixed with an equal quantity of rose water and a few drops of limejuice is an excellent remedy for oily skin. It should be applied for at least 30 minutes for best results.
