    Hey! Dears what’s cooking?!
    As for me.. am sitting beside the window..sipping some hot coffee and savouring a bowl of ‘sundal’….

    Coffee & Contemplation works great wonders!-

    A wide canvas of multi-hued thoughts sprang up in all their regal splendor as if I were seated inside a Kaleidoscope!!:

    *Hm.. the climax sequence of ‘Mouna Ragam’..

    *The pink starched cotton saree draped by my mom..

    *The aloe vera plant in front of our house..

    *The ‘khichdi’ that I had had during the farewell party of my School days?!..

    *The first chapter of “The Famous Five”…

    *The pimples on the face of ‘my first crush’(!)..

    *The bamboo cane used by my granny to shoo away the crows during the ‘Vadam-sessions’ in the terrace..

    *The parrot-green pattu pavadai and ‘nethi chutti’ –the first ever obsession of a lil’ girl’s wardrobe..

    *The ‘Origami’ classes hosted by our tenant in our car-shed, which had barely me and my cousin as ‘students’..

    *The crisp, bright orange ‘jilebis’ made by Yashoda Athai..

    *The stamp collections of my brother and his friends..

    *The first ever ‘big bruise’ earned-cycling attempts!!!..

    *The sour yet tasty ‘Puliangai’ brought by my servant-maid..

    *The sleek Yellow Toyota Corolla brought by my father with a lot of pride….

    Suddenly everything came to a screeching halt-

    Yes! It was time to rush out for my Yoga class;
    -tried recollecting those ‘myriad hues of my childhood’ that came gift-wrapped in the garb of a few 'Kaleidoscopic Memoirs'.......
    {So..why don't you too go on a jolly good ride to those 'blemish less dayzz'?!}
    -Saras

    Along with the sundal came some poetic moments! Those high points you touched along with the sundal and coffee almost summed up a person's childhood. It was like a biography. Almost of every life, give or take a few details.

    When did you graduate to this 'stream of consciousness' writing - just writing whatever comes to my mind.

    There is a touch of poetry and a touch of sadness in all these nostalgic memories.

    Good work, Saras. keep it up.
    love,
    sridhar

    Dear Sir,
    Should I ever tell you yet again those four words that you make me say often: You Made My Day!?!?

    Thank you sir and well it's nothing but your magnanimity to use highly technical terms such as 'poetic moments' and 'stream of consciousness' et al!!
    Well..during my B.A.Literature days I remember having read Mulk Raj Anand's ' Untouchables' which is a perfect e.g. of this 'stream of consciousness' -the protagonist..a small boy's rambled thoughts sums up the entire story..very poignant one sir!!

    It really takes a great writer(saab) like you to keep encouraging amateurish scribblers like me..thanks yet again saab:)
    Regards & love,
    Saras
