Hi friends, I am looking for books or sites to learn drawing preferably with flowers & birds. Any idea would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
Thanks a lot, Vidhya. If you or anyone knows where those sets are available in Chennai(particular shop), that would be nice to get the same from my parents. Meanwhile, found a site where they have explained step by step for flowers, animals etc. I have asked earlier for my son and he tried just now a flower-daisy it was really neat too. Howstuffworks "How to Draw a Violet" Bye.
Ami, Wetcanvas.com is an information storehouse for all kinds of artistic mediums. There is a subforum called Classroom in the link below where you will find a lot of drawing tutorials: WetCanvas! - Browsing Content Channel: Drawing & Sketching You will also find tutorials under the Colored pencil and Watercolor forums. Here's a link to the watercolor classroom: http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=291955 If you are planning to buy from India, then Landmark, Spencer Plaza and Landmark, Nungambakkam has very good books. I bought one on sketching by Keshaw Kumar. In the US, you can check out your local library. Books by Walter Foster publications are very helpful. Here's a link: Walter Foster - drawing & lettering Click on any book and you will get an idea of what the tutorials are like. There are also some video demos in Google Videos. Another link to an e-book: How to Draw Flowers - Google Book Search
