re: Indian vegetarian food near Scotts Road/Hyatt Hotel! Hai Vijaya, Congrats on your pregnancy. The below link provides some good indian restaurants around the place where you're going to stay. Check it out. Uniquely Singapore - Indian Restaurants But i'm not sure whether they're strictly vegetarian. If you want such restaurants, you can opt to go to Little India (if you take a cab from your place it should be 5-6S$). You can find lots of vegetarian restaurants there ( like Komalas, Ananda Bhavan, Chellas etc etc.) Or go to Syed Alwi Road where you can find Saravana Bhavan, Murugan Idli shop etc. Latha
re: Indian vegetarian food near Scotts Road/Hyatt Hotel! Dear Vijaya Welcome to singapore and Congrats on your pregnancy! Grand Hyatt is in Scotts Road which is very near to orchard road a right turn, 1. there is an asian Kitchen at basement of Luck Plaza-where you can get north Indian food. 2. In Takashimaya square opposite to Lucky Plaza, there is a food place where you can get chinese vegetarian. 3. In Scotts Road itself, there is a restaurant..Song of India 4. best of all hop on a cab from your hotel to Little India...the ride will cost you abt $5, where there are plenty of vegetarian north and south Indian restaurants. Have a pleasant stay in Singapore! (hahaha...I see that Latha has given a very apt reply few minutes before me!)

I think Mustafa is a good place to get your groceries. We are blessed to be inSingapore because of the racial harmony it enjoys. You can see chinese eating malay food, indian eating chinese food. we all enjoy each race's cuisine very much.
