    1 cup. sugar
    1 cup . butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 cup . flour
1 tsp. each baking soda & cream of tartar

Add dry ingredients to creamed mix gradually. Stir in 2-2 1/2 cups of cornflakes; mix well and add 1/2 cup nuts ( It is your choice, I add hazel nut) . Let the cookies be spread out in the tray with atleast an inch or two between them. Bake it for 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees.

NOTE: I baked cookies about 13 minutes - OK. Nuts are optional and any kind can be used. I flattened the cookies a little with the bottom of a moistened glass.

    Re: Cornflake Cookie Recipe Please

A tried and tested recipe which came out well. It was given in one of the branded cornflakes carton.

    Plain Flour - 300 gms
    Coffee Mate Creamer - 120gms
    Baking Powder - 1 tsp
    Cornflakes ( finely ground ) - 2 cups
Butter or margarine - 150 gms
    Castor sugar - 100 gms
    Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
    Egg - 2

    1. Sift together plain flour, baking poder and coffee mate creamer and stir in the cornflakes - set aside.
    2. Cream butter, sugar, vanilla essence and egg until fluffy.
    3. Fold in the flour mixer and mix well until soft dough forms.
    4. Roll out dough and cut into desired shapes. The thickness should be about 1 cm.
    5. Place dough on lightly greased tray and allow room for spreading.
    6. Bake in pre heated 180 c oven for 10 - 12 min. Remove and cool.
    7. You can decorate them with melted cooking chocolate.

    P.S: Makes 60 pieces.

    :thumbsup Chaarvi

You can find this on the sanjeev kumar cooking books, Khana kazana. Wonderful book, i like it a lot with several recipes. You get a separate books to learn only sweets.
