Sil's Daughters Puberty Function. What Are Traditional Rituals & Gifts?

hi all,

My SIL going to perform her daughter puberty function next week. We normally fallow Tamilnadu- Andhra border religious traditions. I am not getting, what we can since my husband is Uncle for her who has to give major gifts & need to complete rituals.

Does any one provide some inputs on rituals/process & gifts(important), so i can pick up based on my situation

Clothes, gold coins, jewelry.
A sweet box and flowers is given along with the gift.

How about leave it to your husband, just agree on a general budget.

For the gift, my friend (Telugu speaking but grew up in Chennai) surprised their niece with a fancy phone for the gift. I saw pictures of the young girl jumping up, sari and all, in delight at the unexpected gift while all others gave the more traditional ones.
