My dear Vidya ( Vidhi) !

I am very happy to receive your feedback. Now, I think you will appreciate this symbol better wherever you see them. Infact, North Indians use it much more than us !
    Thankyou, Vidya !
    Love,
    Chithra.

    My dear Sudha !

    Thankyou for your feed back.
I personally feel, the one difference between the Nazi symbol & ours is that, there are 4 dots in ours - it is a must. I have shown that in the floral picture by red bindhi sticker !
Yes, I have also seen dancers using it decoratively in their palms.
Do you remember I gave Rosh the sticker when you came home ?
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Chitra,

This week post is as usual very nice. I know this swastik symbol is a holy symbol, but didn't know the signiifcance. Even in our kolams we draw this symbol in the middle. The pictures are real feast to eyes. Morning, when i opened my system and logged onto IL and the first thing i see is the swastik symbol. It makes me feel so good and happy. Thankyou.

    regards,
    kodi.

    My dear Kodi !

Swastik is not only a holy, bt auspicious symbol as well. It is supposed to drive away negative energy & usher in positive energy. But 4 dots are a must.
    Thankyou for the F b.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Chitra,
Of course, i remember.....and you gave me one also....both of us have kept it in our respective pooja rooms....ha ha....

But i still feel bad that in this country it has a negative connotation.

    Dear Sudha,

I know how you feel. Even here in the US, i do not display it in a prominent place. it is safely tucked away in my pujai room. Otherwise we are branded as Antisemetic!!.

I think the Nazis took the symbol from us HIndus to symbolise the Aryan supremacy . But they got the sign mixed up and drew it the wrong way. This is what i have heard.

    Very informative Chitra,

    Dear Chitra,
Very informative post Chitra which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The floral kolam once again is visually pleasing. As others have said this symbol is misrepresented and the whole meaning is lost were as OM is gaining a lot of popularity in the western world. Can't wait for next Thursday.
    Love,
