sightseeing south africa need tips

hi shalina, i live in gaborone, botswanaa and we along with other friends are deciding on a place to visit smwhere around johannesburg thse cmg nationaal holidays but cant figure out where, pls hlp. we are with kids age ranging from 5 to 8yrs old so got to keep their intrests in mind too..suncity and pilanesburg out of our minds as winter and oftenly visited place. a place where men can relax and ladies can shop around and kids be happy...if possible also update us on safe accomodation. thanks in advance.
