I tried this dal with cabbage side dish for chappathi and came out very well.Used 2 green chillies to reduce the blandness in the gravy.Tastes great and easy to prepare also.I pressure cooked tur dal only 2 whistles.Saves fuel also that way which is an absolute must now-a-days.

    Hello Madam,
I would like to give the recipe for 'Rojappoo chutney'. There is no rose flower involved in this chutney. It is the color of the chutney .
Ingredients : - Red chillies - 10, tamarind - 1 marble size or little more, salt to taste. soak red chilles and tamrind in hot water. After 5 min. grind it with little amt of water.Adjust tamarind and salt as per your taste.Seasoning(optional) can be done using sesame oil. This will bring down the spicyness a little.
This chutney goes very well with dosas, idly, curd rice.
