Re: Cabbage Balls with gravy Hi Krishnaamma, Thanks soo much for your effort. I ve a question on below receipe: For making gravy will it be good if we simply grind onion and tomato as such WITHOUT FRYING?? When I grind raw onion and tomato and then cook it is tasting sour sometimes. Please clarify
Re: Cabbage Balls with gravy Hi Anitha, yes you are correct. sometimes it will become like that. so I will make a small change in that recipe. here is the version, just pour one sp oil in a pan and put the grind tomato and onion in that and fry for a min. then add ginger garlic paste and fry well. then add Soya sauce, tomato ketchup and aginomotto. Now add some water and continue the recipe.:crazy Now it is tasting great. I tried this and writing here. Thanks for mentioning. you also try like this. this is more tastier than the original version.:hiya
Cabbage Balls with gravy - 2 Ingredients: 3 Cup grated cabbage 2 Table spoons Maida 1 Onion 2 Tomato 1 spoon ginger garlic paste 2 - 4 red chilies (soak in vinegar) 2 spoons Soya sauce 2 spoons Tomato ketchup A pinch of Aginomotto Salt Oil or ghee 2 tabsp Method: Mix maida and cabbage in water. The batter must be like Bajji batter. Add salt. Pour oil in a pan and make cabbage Bondas. Fry till they become golden brown. Make gravy by grinding tomato, onion with salt. Just pour one tab sp oil / ghee in a pan and put the grind tomato and onion in that and fry for a min. Then add ginger garlic paste and fry well. Then add Soya sauce, tomato ketchup and aginomotto. Add some water and bring it to a boil. Remove and keep aside. Before serving, add fried cabbage balls in that and serve with chappati or puri. Note: If you want you can add one or 2 green chilly while grinding tomato and onion.
Dear Krishnamma, I checked all your recipes. Thay sounds good. Especially dosa varieties. As i'm new to cooking, some of the things looks like Greek and Latin for me :rotfl:rotfl. Regarding paneer recipes, ( butter paneer masal -2) How can i know that the paneer is fully cooked or not? Should i roast the cashew, tomato, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves before grinding? any alternative to cream?
Hi Shel, Good that you started cooking. after some time you will start teaching. dont worry. 1. Dont worry about paneer, it will cook soon. When the whole dish is boiling, it will cook automatically. Even after this if you have doubt, taste a small piece and then remove the dish from the gas. ok ya? so that next time when you cook you will know the time. But one more thing, you can eat paneer as it is so dont worry if you half cook it. It wont harm you. 2. No need to fry those ingredients. After grinding we are frying them na? at that time fry well in low flame till the oil comes out of the ground mixture. so that you wont get that 'raw' smell of onion. 3. No alternative for cream. If you dont want to add cream you have to avoid. I think I explained well, any doubts please ask me again.
