    :) Good idea.
    - you can make dosa batter and store in batches.
    - a friend of mine even made idlies and freezed!!
    - Vathal kulambu (home made or even 777 paste would do)
    - Thakkali thokku
    - 777 brand puliyodharai paste
    - 777 brand ready rasam (pepper, garlic ) just boil water and add 1tsp, bring it to boil again.
    - Maggi
    - Store bought Lemon extract (to make lemon rice - if he knows how to cook rice & season oil. LOL)
    - Curd
    - frozen parathas, chapathis
    - make any curry and freeze in batch - it will be good for more than a week.
    - any poriyal when frozen would keep for atleast 10 days.

The one tip I cannot stress more is:
Store the food in batches. Easy to thaw on demand.

Also freeze when it comes to room temperature.

    Happy Planning! :thumbsup

Abey - why do you need to store food like the world is coming to an end, I'm sure your DH will manage - he was a bachelor in US, and will know what to do.

you made me laugh ,spidey by this statement:
I found it very cute(dont know your intention though). Ofcourse, DH knows cooking and can manage but ever since I am living with him, he has even forgotten to take plates to the dishwasher:rotfl
so,if I could stock up on some food,it would be great.

Do you have any 'Tiffin providers' in your area?? Usually, they are available in many cities..In my city we have many tiffin providers who provide food at nominal costs..like 4 kind of veggies for 25$ or something. Check if these are available in your city. Half of your tension will be gone.
