    Hey Sparks,

    We both share same due dates.. Don't worry too much about weight gain. Make sure you eat healthy and regular small meals. During my second pregnancy ,I had gained only 18 lbs.But my baby was healthy 7lbs11oz. So don't get stressed and don't eat too much for 1 meal.Instead make it two meals.If you are eating rice, eat in limited quantity as it may give rise to gestational diabetes in the third trimester. Instead eat brown rice and chapatis. Also make sure eat protein rich food when you eat anything that has more carbs. Eat lot of fruits and veggies.

    How are you.. Hope your appetitie has increased now.. Have you started feeling your lo 's movements.. I do feel very subtle movements but m mot very sure whether is baby movements or hunger pangs or possibly gas.. Feeling little upset about it.. Don worry our lo s will start their kicking spree once they get bigger

    Hi gods grace

    How are you doing?.. I do have a question for you today m 17 weeks and yesterday I felt very subtle movements but not really sure whether it was baby or gas.. Do you have any clue as to how differentiate both of them ? Kicks in 17 weeks will be subtle or strong with my first pregnancy I felt the kick in 21 st week only

    Hi Catgol,

    Hope you are doing good. In the 17th week you feel very light movements. Just like sudden fluttering..as you progress you will feel more stronger kicks..

    i have gestational diabetes but its not a suprise since i was pre diabetic before pregnancy.controlling with diet right now.

    yes my appetite has increased now. and as u said even i feel flutterings sometimes but not sure
    if it is gas or baby movements. yet to feel the strong kicks.

    @godsgrace,
    hope u r doing gud. it must be difficult managing with two kids. i feel so tired these days, just
    wonder how moms already having kids manage to do things.

    welcome to the club. hope you are doing well.

    I am 27 and my parents are diabetic, so i feel there is chance of me also getting GD.even i am having
    controlled diet. i read somewhere that fruits should be taken in limited quantiites. are u
    also taking fruits limited only like 1-2 a day?

    sparks,
    fruits can be taken as a snack any time of day (after bf,after lunch or after dinner). but the allowed size is small which is too small compared to size of fruits we get at grocery stores so half of the big is the correct size. apple peaches oranges one daily. grapes just 17 of them.all berries 3/4 cup. if u want to know quantity of any specific let me know.
