    Dear Thyagarajan Sir,

Mind is a mystery for all of us and finding the ways it works is even complex. That is why we have a profession to recommend course of actions for those who go through depression. Mind can't be sharp when one goes through a lot of environmental disturbances. If you notice someone who is traveling across a forest filled with wild life, he is listening to all the sounds and watching every movement of bushes and trees to see whether there are any wild animals around him. When someone is hiking a steep mountain, his focus is only on the next grip to ascend. When a player is in the middle of the ground in a fast moving game, his focus is on the movement of the ball and other players around him. Even in cricket, the commentators describe that the batsman is seeing the cricket ball like a football when he settles down to his stream of shots. All that happens due to improved concentration that lasts only momentarily. I real life to build such concentration one needs to do a series of self-care actions. Mental health affects physical health and vice versa. Self-care is essential not only for improving the quality of life but also to simplify life. If happiness is our goal, self-care is essential. Our mind has the ability to resolve things for us as well as complicate things. If we simplify our thought process as a discipline, even that is self-care.
