Searching for detachable ear hangings in chennai

I was in chennai for 8 months and I saw women wearing gold detachable hangings. These hangings are thin like a chain with a pointed ending. I tried almost all gold jewellery shops in ranganathan street but didn't get anywhere and was unsuccessful in getting the name too . I don't even have a picture of it to post it here. If anybody knows about these hangings please do let me know and also where can i get them in chennai.

It will be of great help to me. I desperately want those ear hangings.
