We are performing milk abhishegam, bathing of idle in temples at Temples. Temple is a holy place that is constructed in such a dimention that it activates the mind. ie it creates heat in to the human who visits the shrine. When the heat generated is above the human requirements the mind of human start wavering and the attraction and prayers are diverted. To keep the atmosphere under control it is necessary to bring down the temp in side the shrine and putting A/c will not help. So we do Milk Abishgam so that the small particals, the casein and resin moves inside the temple that gives a soft effect and pleasent smell in the atmosphere.
Thanks for the such wonderful information. i think all our traditional activities had some scientific reasons or other behind it . as we are not aware of them and also following many like tying the hairs(no open hairs), wearing Thali, wearing white saree after husbands death etc., Poorni:cheers
Wearing/tying Thali is psychologically binding each other. Both Man and Woman. We say the bride "You go there and clean the house and remove the dusts' means, when you enter that house as a wife your visit should be so pleasant that unwanted air is removed. It is "Kuppai Kottuthal" Secondly we quote what man your legs are tied after marriage! Enna Kal Kattu pottachcha? Which means he won't roam as he likes after marriage as he has taken the family responsibly.
