Hi all, I would like to know what school do you send your kids to? We might move to Malaysia sometime this year and I'm most worried about the kids' education. We are holding US passport and I've searched online- came to know that foreigners children are only accepted in International schools. Is that true? The fees are SOO expensive. Is there any other English medium schools that accepts foreigners? My kids are aged 4 & 6. Thank you so much for all your suggestions & advices!!
Thanks, Smitha. I've checked the website but the fees are so expensive. In another 2years my second child will also be going to school then it's going to be a little difficult as I'm not working now and I'm not sure if I can find a job there. I'm just doing some calculations with the fees + other activities + transportation etc... not sure if it would fit our budget and on top of that we have to rent a place also. Does the private schools there teach in english medium? do they accept foreign students? Never knew education can be this expensive...
Isn't GIIS expensive too Smita? Our local schools are free but the medium of instruction is in the local language It all depends on how long you are going to be here Fluffy.. Your kids are young so learning another language is always an asset You can always get good English work and text books here to teach at home.. Isn't it the same in US..you have the State school and the private school It all depends on your comfort of affordability.. So don't worry Fluffy it will all work out when you get here.. Kamala
