School Holidays In Different Us States

    Dear friends,

    My daughter is living in New York. Her daughter is studying in a public school in first grade.
    She tells that the school has more holidays than the schools in other states.
    Is this correct.
    Are the school holidays more in USA than in Indian schools?
    Do the private schools have less holidays in USA?
    Any input is highly appreciated.
