    Hello all,

I am planning a family trip to India and found that for my 2nd grade son taking 12 days of absence is an issue.

I have one option to un-enroll and then come back from vacation and enroll again with documents saying he attended school while away.
Another option is to get 6 approved days and take 6 unexcused days.
I am not sure what to do.

How do you all usually do if kids have to take longer vacation?

    Thanks,
    Selvi.

if you could tell us which part of the world you are residing in, because that would help other users in giving you a more apt reply.

Generally schools object more than five days... but we can take an excuse that there is a family occasion...

write an application & state clearly why you need more then 6 days holidayholidays............normally,expat kids are allowed longer holidays as they need to visit the country of origin........
if possible meet the principal & state your need clearly.........
the option of re -enrolling is not very good as you never know if there is seat or the school will re enroll him........better consult the teacher for possible solution
