No, only indigo will make your hair bluish/greenish. You need the henna to get black color.

You can google for "two step henna indigo process". It's a common process that people have documented many variations for.

Unfortunately many people think "black henna" is henna + indigo to get the black color. I have learnt from a family relative who works in this industry that it is always henna + black hair color chemicals - just to trick those who think they are going for a "natural" way to color their hair. If the amount of the black hair color dye is less than some small percentage - the company is allowed to not mention it in the ingredients. (not that most companies want to play by the rules since these manufacturing processes are not at all regulated/inspected)

Have you tried VCare products? I have tried their henna and indigo hair color sold in packets and also their other hair color with Fo ti anti allergen one which is like shampoo. The latter works good for me. You are in the shower, apply it like shampoo, wait for 10 to 20 minutes and wash. Then use a good chunk of conditioner and your hair is colored. The smell is like beetlenut no ammonia smell. and the color actually fades away so gradually that it is not noticeable if you let go for some extra few days without re coloring.

Anika, may be we can also try Ridge gourd oil from Samyuktha diaries. It seems to work for many.
