    Ladies,
As we are approaching marriage season, so we need to attend lot of functions. So, for marriages , a sarree would be a great idea. But having kids sometimes it causes discomfort too. But inevitable on some occassions.
So just food for thought, For ladies who are in L, just Large ladies which sarees would suit to look slim and elegant. Just throw your opinions, which color, material, blouse pattern and tips on how to wear it?

    For L's:-

the best would be mysore silk saree..perfectly made for them..though slim people look more decent in it..L's are really made for each other..the saree looks grand on them

printed silks are similar to mysore silks..only difference is the jari and the body is full of designs..perfect for simple parties and get-together

next choice would be a light weight and light worked silk saree..nothing else could replace this.

georgette chiffon fall into the simple and elegant category

    Nice thread.

You can avoid heavy pallus and heavy zari works in the border and silk sarees. You can go for silk cotton sarees/crepe/chiffon sarees, that will not show you huge.Always go for short sleeves.

Tying saree below belly button will not show your waist region heavy!

Another small tip is that dark colours like black, generally, makes us look slim than light colours like white.

Nowadays there r lots of light weight silk sarees available.....I guess no other material matches the traditional elegant look of a silk saree.

With light weight sarees u will appear thin and do not choose a grand pallu/body design.

And for all evening wears go for crepe/georgette/chiffon anf all the designer sarees with less of embroidery work.

As Cindhuja pointed mysore silk/crepe silk/printed silk r also other options.

I repeat RG's words....Make a note to tie ur saree below ur navel if u have a big tummy. It really helps a lot.

Thts really a good discussion my dears.
    Cindhu, thanks for the pics.
But mysore silks would be more Plain stuff with border to it right?
Sorry, I have very less knowledge towards sarees as I hardly wear them.
I love to do saree shopping though, for my Mom!!!
Whenever there is an occassion, I would shop by that time and make blouse ready for that occassion, so I dont have much pileup of sarees in my wardrobe, but whatever is available is once used stuff in various occassions. So I dont wear them atleast in the same set of people.

What are the colors those will be suited, normally black will not be preferable for any marriages for V. fair ladies??
