Sanitary Pads after delivery

Hello All:

Could anyone tell me what kind and brand of Sanitary Pads should i buy, so i can use for the heavy flow after delivery ? Available in the USA.

Hi,

I think most hospitals provide sanitary pads for use after delivery (while you stay in hospital). I'm not sure if that's the case in US too but do check. As from my experience, I bought regular sanitary pads (extra long with wings) and just had to change it more often.

u can try out mothercare sanitary pads, for maternity use. also do buy disposable underwears that u can use after delivery so that u dont have to tax urself washing them. also disposable underwears are good if u have a c-sec so that the scar is not rubbed against by the cloth of regular undies.

The hospitals do provide with extra large sanitary pads in case of heavy bleeding.

While coming from hospital you can also use "always"

Thanks to all of you for having replied for my query. Well i wanted to know, which pad in "always" should i buy ? Like Maxi, night time pad, etc, which one ?

I heard that they give them at the hospital,but take some with you to be safe.I would suggest the overnight protection ones.Even i am not sure as this is my first pregnancy too.
Has your mother or anybody come to look after you,when are you due??

Yep you need them even if you had a c section. The body has to get rid of all the extra blood and liquids it built up in the pregnancy and regardless of delivery method, we can expect to bleed for a couple of weeks.
