salwar out of a saree

    hi,
    i have a beautiful fancy saree..can it be transformed into a salwar?? i want a tops and dupatta from the same saree,...bottom i can manage..i dont think it s possible 2 stitch all the three from one saree..have anyone of u stitched a salwar from a saree..ideas welcum :)

    you can take the saree to your tailor and he will suggest you about the same.... i think you can stich pant and tops from the saree and get duppatta from outside ..... just check....

    You can make dupatta and top from the saree and buy matching cloth for bottom(pants). and stictch some of the saree material either as patti at the feet or fust stictch to the side of the pant lengthwise and it will look good

    hey see my site i made one PINK ONE
    you can do pant,top and shawl as well in a sareee!! happy stitching.. u can use the pallu for chest part as anarkali (in cross piece if possible.

    Hi "Icicles'.......Welcome to Indus !!

    I had stitched many from saris especially from the Garden chiffons....a full set and also a duppata on one but the duppata may have a joining !! Of course I had to give lining but the effort is worthy !!

    If you just need a bottom/duppata or top/duppata or top/bottom.......still there were waste bits of the sari.....

    Almost all sarees when i get bored transform to chudidhar sets for me and my daughter.

    It will take a new look.All the best.
