    hi friends - We are planning Pilgrimage in south India for 1 week as a part of our India vacation, how safe it is to carry expensive smart phones, I wan to use it net connection and also for taking pictures, what are your suggestions based on your experience

    Everywhere you go, doesn't only mean India, anywhere in this world, safety can't be guaranteed, we need to be cautious.
    So be careful and there should not be any problem.

    If you are going into temples they sometimes make you leave cameras at teh entrance. We used to leave valuables in the taxi (with trusted driver) on such occasions, so plan for that. We would also never leave these items in the hotel room when we went out. And be aware of your belongings at all times.

    thank you.. that is good suggestion, we are also thinking to leave the belongings in the taxi, we are hiring the taxi for 6 days with same driver who will be with us all the 6 days.

    Any other suggestions are welcome.
