There are lot of moms (including me :hide:) who show rhymes to DD/DS on their iPad. When I was young, I remember my mom always telling me to watch TV (hardly 20 minutes a day) from a distance as it would spoil eyesight. Right now when I show my DD rhymes I am not sure if I am actually keeping it at a safe distance. How are you handling this? Is an arm's length ok?

@vjbunny That is a useful link. Thanks for sharing. I now try to keep the iPad at my arms length. DD tries to go near it but am stopping her. She will get used to it in couple of days time.

call me conservative mom, but i still find the old pc monitor the best thing for the kids.. i still restrict my kids from reading or watching on mobiles... i know IPad is a little bigger...but my take is.

monitor can be placed at eye level ensuring no slouching, or bending of your neck that has increased cervical spondilytis and posture issues with kids at a very young age.

radiation, i wish to be a silent mum on that, because there is another school that talks radiation is everywhere around us..

vjb, that is a good link..
