I have a contemporary metal fruit bowl. Of late, I see a few tiny rust spots being developed on it. It has a metallic finish and scrubbing might remove some of the polish. Any tips on how to remove that rust without scraping off the polish?

potatoes when rubbed have the strength to remove rust.

or a paste of baking soda. or even vinegar. i would keep vinegar to the last.

how about giving it a protective coat transparent lacquer shiner/paint

tq Shanvy... I'll try the potato tip. After the rust is gone, let me try the transparent shiner ..
