I started Adriene's 30 day yoga revolution. Not very different from the Dedicate series but it helps to have a tangible goal in mind. Currently running between 2.5 to 3 miles, 2-3 times a week, plus day-hiking every other Saturday.

I loved the dedicate series. I might jump in on this as well.
    Adrienne’s Runner’s yoga video:

Adrienne’s post running stretches are awesome.

I’m yet to try the pre run video but I plan to do so tomorrow.

I’ve hit the 10K mark in my long run after a million years and it feels good. Any race plans? Im running alternate days and averaging 12-13 ish miles a week(3 runs). I think it needs to be at 25 (4 runs) for me to comfortably run long races and I love long races. I might hire a coach to help with weekly mile plans.

Wow! That's incredible. At this rate you should be good for a fall half marathon. I started my 10K training this week. It is an 8 week program so I should get there by early May. I am thinking of signing up for a mid-summer 10K as motivation. I really need to do those 7 min pre and post run videos. I get very sore these days.

Hopefully since I finally have the energy and motivation to train.

Which plan are you following? I’m true to Hal Higdon. Anything else feels like cheating an old master!
Early June is a great time to run a race in your neck of the woods. You should sign up, it will keep you motivated.

Me too. It's Hal Higdon's novice 10K program. One good thing I noticed from my running data is that my heart rate stays relatively low during my runs these days -- between 90-115. I remember it reaching as much as 160-180 initially. After 2 miles or so I start feeling soreness in the legs but not in my lungs. I think the credit goes to all the yoga and a little bit of pranayam that I do before my meditation. I also noticed I'm burning fewer calories for the same distances. Maybe the 7-8 miles of hiking is building up endurance. I run at an easy pace but I think I need to start pushing myself to run faster to get that heart rate up again.

Weather is good outside, so I started running/jogging in the park. Goal is to run on alternate days or at least 3 times a week. Started last Friday...0.65 miles * 8 rounds = 5.2 miles. Will update, late evening for today.
Where do you go for hiking?
