    Question: Do you guys calculate the warm up and cool down distance to total miles run? Doesn't really matter, but curious.

    No. I don’t. I usually start my watch after my warm up and stop it before my cool down. I used to religiously warm up and cool down for half a mile each and stretch but I’ve been ignoring some of those things. Thanks for mentioning.

    I program my runs into my watch so warm up, run + recovery sets and cool down are part of one training session and included in all calculations. So in my case yes the warm up/cool down distances are included in total distance.

    Thanks, I was not counting the warm up and cool down and my husband mentioned yesterday that he does. So I was wondering.

    How can I troubleshoot foot pain near the arch? I think it may be because of foot alignment, but I cannot see any pronation or supination when I am standing. I have soles with arch support.. It gets better after stretching.

    Sounds like plantar fasciitis. I woke up with it this morning. Read up on it. I usually get it when I don’t stretch enough and when I up miles too quickly. This time I’m sure it’s lack of stretching. I try to hit some yoga videos for runners stretches after workouts and it helps. Also for plantar fasciitis for runners there are targeted stretches you can do to make it feel better. Easing up on miles and doing other workouts on alternate days can help. I’ve not been doing anything other than running in feb and it’s showing in my arches.

    Thanks. I took the week off and did yoga everyday. Planning to run only if I can followup with yoga.

    I am following this. If you are aware of any other good yoga stretches, please let me know.



    Today - 2 miles and 30 min yoga

    I follow Adrienne too for running stretches too. That’s a good video. She also has pre and post run yoga videos. I have to try those. Do look into those.

    I’m good thanks. I did this video a few times this week!
