    Hi,
Due to inevitable reasons need to exit usa before the closure of academic year, kid won't be taking final assessment and EOC exams.

Will it be difficult in getting admission in 11 th grade in IGCSE/ cbse curriculum. Or the kid has to redo 10 th grade.
How about switching to virtual schooland finishing to he curriculum,a
    re they accepted in india

Actually, if your child finished 10th exams, it would be great. And if the certificates you can get from there are valid there, they are probably valid here too.
Can you check if it can happen online? Or if some relative could host him till the exams?

Ok, assuming you have tried everything to finish his exams at school! And could not finish 10th exams!

Check NIOS in India. Which city are you coming to? 10th std can be written in private through NIOS. But you need to register. They conduct exams every 6 months, so you could finish 10th exams and register for 12th immediately if you want to avoid loss of an year. Check this link - Evaluation: The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)

But in case your loss of an year is inevitable, dont pressure your child, let him take the 10th exam next year April from a normal full time school.

    Some points to consider

    1) Most schools especially CBSE/ICSE send their 10th registrations in 9th std itself. So even if you get admission, you might have to go to the board head office and get your registration done privately! So, dont forget to ask this question to the school !

    2) Your son needs Aadhar card to register for board exams.

    3) If repeating 10th, you need to consider 2nd language also.
For 11th-12th at least CBSE you can skip 2nd language if you take computer science, biology etc.
Most state boards and ICSE / IB offer French etc if he is familiar, but they might not have good teachers. So you might look for some additional help or tutors for this.

    4) If joining NIOS for 10th, and you want to do the CBSE or PU or ICSE/IB etc for 11th & 12th, you might want to check that the dates of admission and start of schools dont clash with the exams!

    5) Some state boards give you direct admission to 12th based on your age (You need to be 15+) and you can write all 12 exams - both 11th and 12th together in one shot!
And with NIOS, you can write a few exams once in 3 months - so all exams are not done in one shot - and it is more relaxed.

    6) If joining NIOS for all 10th, 11th and 12th - no worries - Undergrad colleges are bound by law to identify NIOS as equal to any other board - so there should not be any problems for future admissions!

    This...
Anyone who had raced through school to get to the life of a working stiff can easily see how this could be a sweet gift.

Thank you so much for answering, the school as of now let him to finish the remaining classes online remotely but he would not be able to take few end of the year statewide tests as they can be taken only at the school on certain dates, we will be in Bangalore, NIOS is a good suggestion but will the child be allowed to take neet or iit entrance exams if he finishes his 12 the grade through NIOS,
    Thanks
