    Can anyone suggest good and reliable retirement homes in or around kovai?
    Prefer a community living types villas/appartments.Heard about kovai care.Would like to know if any other such constructions are there.

    :hello:TSK - one of my six bosom friendS with his spouse has been residing since last 6 to 7 years & HAS BEEN SUGGESTING me to join them there.
    2. It is known as Brindavan about 30 kms from coimbatore station and for more information you can google.
    3. I heard The predominant community are Hindus. Retirees can enjoy music bhajan park their cars play indoor games eat in mess experiment culinary skills in their own kitchenette etc. Reports serene tranquil atmosphere prevails .inmates enjoy camaraderie and good steady cool breeze and weather. Emergency doctor available for consultation. Trustees take care of all inmates and humane in character.

    If you are looking for a retirement home, try NNRC Retirement Community. NNRC is started by an ex-NRI from US, for his mom, in her name. Check the details on the net.

    My parents friends have been living in the Vanaprastha retirement community for almost a decade now and seem happy there. It is not fancy but the amenities and atmosphere are good. It can be far if you need specialized medical care on a regular basis though.

    @Thyagarajan, @MalStrom, @ptdhina - what is the water situation in all these places. With Coimbatore running dry, do they require additional maintenance fees for water? Do they have the ability to procure enough water for all residents? My only hesitancy with CBT is the water issue there.

    Just spoke to my friend . He confirmed there is regular supply in abundance from river siruvani nearby since several years. Also confirmed for one room hall deposit INR 22L & monthly charges approx INR 22 K. All the best.
