Renting Saris to Attend Weddings

    Just came across this article in the Wall Street Journal

    Its a really great idea.

    The lady needs to keep her own blouse and petticoat though, seems these are personal items...

    Yeah, I do notice an increasing number of non-Indians attending lavish Indian weddings who use the beautiful sari once, and then it stays in their closets forever.

    I purchased a sari 10 years ago, and it's been hanging in my closet ever since.

    On the other hand, I am skeptical about ordering clothing online. Even if one were to order the sari (while using their own blouse and petticoat), how do you know how the sari feels, or weighs upon you?

    It would help if Borrowitbindaas.com had an actual brick-and-mortar store where one could rent saris, that would be more reassuring.

    But, hey, this idea is promising....
