Remove ring from finger of 2 yrs old

Hi

I just want to know how can I remove ring frm my DS finger. On varalakhmi vratm i made him wear the ring. I forgot to take it off and when I tried yesterday his finger got swollen. The finger was pretty normal before I started putting soap and remove. But my son was so uncomfortable that he dint allow me to do so and I stopped but I noticed that his finger is swollen. What can I d to remove this? Should I wait until swelling reduces or take him to physician. Pls help me ladies. I am just devastated he just recovered from leg injury ad in no time this happened. As ususal I keep regretting for making him to wear this. His finger looks fine (no color chage) except swelling and I enquired with nearby jeweler and he seems to be not comfortable cutting the ring for toddler which he generally does for adults.

its a difficult situation haritha. poor baby your DS. did he complain about any pain? i was going to suggest apply vaseline on the finger around the ring, and try to slide it off slowly. soap solution must have made the finger swollen. Dont force it. if it doesnt come definitely you take help of doctor.

Did you try using some oil.
One of my friends had a similar problem with his own ring and ring finger.
He used some vegetable oil to slide the ring. It took some time but it helped.
