They both should take sometime and understand each other properly before jumping into remarriage again, reason being you mentioned their ages as 34 & 31 - so at that age if they got divorced without thinking much of the consequences then they were immature.

So its better they take time to know each other and then take the step.

the guy seems to be ok, but i am not sure of the girl. they need to go counselling before they embark again, will be helpful to resolve certain issues bet them

He needs to look at it as his second opportunity. Would he marry her in the first place if he knew her as he knows her now? If not, why marry the second time!?

Secondly, he needs to know if she wants to marry for herself or for the society? India can be quite suffocating for divorced women.

Thank you for all the replies, I might get a chance to speak to him some time as he is here onsite. I will speak to him according to what you have said in case he brings up the topic else. In any case i will update the other family member of his who i know well.
