Hi Rekha, I did H1b 9yrs back. Yes, they did background checks for education (degree certificates) and experience certificates. Even for getting a job here in US, they will do background checks. It is always better to show the truth. If they find out about false information, it would be bad for the career. SOme people might get lucky and not go thru this background checks. Good luck, Punitha

Since you had applied for this 9 years ago, is the H1B visa extendable or have you got your Green card already? Could you please share your H1B application & then working experience with me?
