red onions or white onions

    hi i am new to usa and new to indus ladies too

    can any one help me which onions taste similar to those available in south india is the red one or white one? i found almost three varieties in walmart

    i always got the white or the yellowish tinge onions..i dont like the red onions (except for pavbhaji or bhelpuri mixing)....for indian cooking i liked the white / yellowish ones...weget them in walmrt, target or indian stores

    hey sruthi, i usually get the red onions.. it has a more intense flavor that we like.. white onions i feel are quite light, i use them somtimes in salads..

    Hi,

    I guess Red onions taste more like onions in India, i use Red onions tho, ya but sometime i dont mind using yellow onions as well.
