Recommendations For Web Series, Online Streaming

Chutney Sambhar. This tamil web series featuring Yogi Babu as a kind hearted human is the perfect bowl of warm soup for the soul. It has moments of emotion, drama and subtle comic. I did not know Yogi Babu could act in such roles. Not to be missed series.

 

Im watching a KDrama Series on Netflix called Beyond the Bar. It deals with intern sttorneys working mainly on litigation cases. Like every KDrama, its a light, frothy watch but with mature theme. I especially liked an episode of child abuse that is mostly never shown onscreen but was portrayed beautifully in this series. Its still ongoing with 4 episodes left to complete it.

 

Watched the KDrama Tastefully Yours. While at the beginning it was slow, it became interesting by the 2nd episode. Its a 10 episode limited series. The hero is very so-so looks wise. I really liked the female lead. The story is fresh and I enjoyed the plot and the series.

 

Bon Appétit, Your Majesty - The K-drama with 12 episodes on Netflix is good. Waiting for episodes 9, 10, 11 and 12 to be available this weekend and the next. It is about a chef who goes back to the Joseon Era and meets the tyrant king and the challenges she faces.

 

Im also watching this and agree. Its really good eventhough I hated the male lead in the first episode. Cant wait to finish the last 4 episodes that will be released over this weekend and the next. Recommend heartily!

 

Heart beat 2 and police police lighthearted drama. I watched heartbeat1 and now part 2 is good. it does lots of drama and fun. police police just started to watch and it a good start. it has that rj Senthil, cwc Shabana. bigboss contestant

The Ba***ds of Bollywood

Aryan Khans debut directorial shows the dark underbelly of Bollywood, dealing with success, nepotism etc. Bobby Deol plays a prime character. Mona Singh plays the mother of a 26 year old (!!).

Overall a one time watch but not a bad series from a debutant director. The cast is really good and the chemistry between the lead actor and actress is great. Guest appearances by Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Aamir Khan, SRK, Salman, SS Rajamouli, Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Khan, Badshah, Rajkummar Rao, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhanth Chaturvedi, Orry etc Theres an unexpected twist in the last episode. Worth a watch. S2 is in works too

 

My Life with the Walter boys. Coming of age fluffy drama thats 2 seasons long till now and worth watching. The theme is quote
"When a tragedy disrupts her life, a teenager moves in with her guardian's big family in a small town and learns lessons about love, hope and friendship."

 

If you are a sucker for time travel plots like me, you will enjoy Meet Me in Paris. I just finished S1. There are 2 more seasons to it. The plot is about a ballerina who time travels from 1905 to 2018 amd what happens to her. I liked the first season, how it goes and where it leaves off. If you also like plots with time travel , watch this one

 

Kurukshetra - animation web series in Netflix about Mahabharata war. My entire family enjoys, still dint finish yet. Very good animation, just enough not too cinematic. With necessary flashbacks. My kid is getting to understand the characters, the story and the best part some good lessons. Must watch. In Netflix
