7 Dials on Netflix has an interesting premise, but it struggles to fully engage. Its based off an Agatha Christie novel and set in early 20th century England, which is why I started to watch. Some moments are suspenseful, yet the pacing drags and a few storylines feel underdeveloped. It’s an okay watch if you’re curious, but not particularly memorable.
Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1 is out. I binge-watched all the 4 episodes yesterday . Tes I am a sucker for romantic and I loved the first three seasons. This time its aboutfinding a bride for Benedict who is the 2nd eldest son of the Bridgerton family. Its a typical Cinderella story but the costumes, actors, the locations are are superb. I would say run to watch all of Bridgerton from Season 1 if you havent already.
I watched the Kdrama Pro Bono and overall it’s been a pretty enjoyable experience. 12 episodes long, the story has a nice balance between legal drama and personal moments. It is engaging enough to keep you coming back for the next episode. This is one of the rare few KDramas that has dealt with mature themes like child abuse in a very realistic way. One of the highlights for me is the lead actor who (among manay other KDramas) also plays a doctor in another KDrama called Hospital Playlist. He brings that same sharp, intelligent presence here — very composed, expressive, and believable in his role. He is one of my fav KDrama actors. Overall, I’d say it’s a drama worth watching, especially if you enjoy legal courtroom dramas with a smattering of personal touch Recommend.
Watched JDrama Divorce Lawyer Season 2 that starts off where S1 ends. Takako Mamiya is a female boss lawyer who used to handle corporate law but ends up opening her own firm that specializes in divorce cases. Each episode presents a legal case, and deals with how Mamiya handles it. 11 episodes long, it was worth the wait after S1, eventhough its an oldish JDrama.
Watched Dynamite Kiss KDrama. What happens when a Chaebol heir goes to Jeju and shares a soul stirring kiss with a stranger, and later on she turns up at his company as a mother of a 6 year old with a husband.. Thats the premise. I dint like the looks of both the lead actors eventhough the plot itself was very positive like many other KDramas. There are twists at the end of each episode that keeps you hooked and come back for the next. Yes, I recommend watching this if you want something light
Watched When Life Gives You Tangerines. I give it full 5 stars. RUN dont wait to watch this KDrama. 16 episodes long, this Drama spans love story and ups and downs of a couple spanning 50 plus years. It starts off in pre independent Korea and goes on upto present day Korea. The first few episodes are slow, initially the back and forth moving through decades as snapshot of interlinked moments may be confusing. But, after the first couple of episodes, you get absolutely involved in it. Young love, mature love, parents sacrifice for children, treating daughters like precious treasure, trying to provide the best for children despite meager means and much more...its a true drama that has all elements of human emotions. I would rate this as one of THE TOP KDrama in Drama genre. This was the first one that made me cry buckets of tears through the last episode. I needed more than a few tissues (I kid you not!) I loved the fact that it was slow, deliberate storytelling than a rushed attempt at something half cooked. This is a rare drama that tugs at your heartstrings and stays with you even after you have finished watching it. I dont know why Indian serial makers don't come up with such beautiful themes to make into some meaningful drama. Again, I would give it 10 stars if I could. So 5/5. Highly, highly recommend.
Hi thanks from bottom of my heart for such a lovely crisp recommendation. Super jotting and review, using choicest words calling the picture-story - spade a spade. It impelled to instantly explore for more and I read intently more of story picture, filming of its songs and thoughtful effort put in for its translation of titles in global languages that befits local culture et al.
