    Dear Dimple,
    Did you try sniffing jeera?
Also try chanting the word "off".

    Dimple7 Sister,

Keep a packet of UDHI (Shirdi SaiBaba) under your pillow and keep the feeling that he takes cares of you, It would work wonders. Many have experienced this.

May Baba bless you and guide you always.

I have not read this whole thread, so pardon me if this has already been said. But one of the major causes of sleeplessness nowadays is using tablets, phones, and other light-emitting screens in bed. It is generally suggested that to enjoy a sound and restful sleep, one should avoid use of such devices in bed completely, or at the very least, turn off devices a few hours before you expect to go to sleep.

iPad insomnia: Sleep loss linked to blue light from screens used at night - Chicago Tribune

I found this out because I recently experienced insomnia. I have always been prone to sleeplessness, but my lifelong habit of reading every night before bed seemed to be a good way to lull me to sleep. I switched from a real book to a Kindle (the older type, without a back-light) and I was still fine. But when I started using the Kindle app to read on my iPad before bed, I found myself unable to fall asleep afterwards.

So, if you are taking your devices to bed with you, and experiencing sleeplessness, stop. No Facebook update or last-minute email is as important as a good night's sleep.

Funny as it may sound but this helps me - counting backwards from 100 to 1. When I started I would fall asleep by the time I was at ten, now I am dozing off by the time I am at 60.

On some days I try spelling the numerals. Hundred, Ninety Nine, Ninety Eight.
