This is what I do. Semi-thaw the jackfruit and run it in the food processor or chop it up by hand into small pieces. Chop up onion in 1/2 quantity of the jackfruit. heat some oil, fry the onion with some mustard seeds, green chillies. when onion is browned, add the jackfruit, add some shredded garlic, mix well. add salt, red chilli powder and haldi powder to taste. cook covered on medium heat till done. you can add some water in case it is dry. when done, add amchur powder or lemon juice. sprinke with chopped coriander leaves and enjoy! you can also make it with gravy by adding some coconut milk at the end of the cooking.
