    hi pushpavalli maam,
    nice kolams....i love kolams too...but after coming here to the US, the space is not suitable for kolams as we have kept the deities in a shelf which is a wire rack...(kambi kambiya irukkum...) so i've just kept a thick cardboard on the shelf and put kolam on that...but still, it is a small space and it dosent look as gud as it does on the karuppu medais in india...:(
    as u say, it is a lovely sight to see the squirrels eats them...in my mil's house in india, the kolam disappears in no time....the squirrels feast on arisi maavu....so i love to put big ones so that they have more.. :) :)

    Dear Sowpar,
    thanks for peeping in and pouring your thoughts. In stead of a cardboard you could use a ply painted in black or choco brown to put kolam. Have you seen the pictures of bandikoot eating the kolam posted in the forum? Daily it used to up the staircase to eat the kolam.
