    I tried your dal-batti recipe today and it came out absolutely delicious. We enjoyed them so much that now we all have overeaten!! Thanks a lot for sharing the recipe on the forum.

    hi jaishree,

    i want to try all the recipes posted by you. but the firstone will be dal -batti. plz clarify my doubts before giving it a try.

    can dal batti be baked on an OTG [not the micro wave oven] & a normal LPG stove? or it needs a tandoor stove?

    i wud be grateful if you answer me soon & also post the picture. thankyou.

    Yes you can cook batti in OTG I myself has not tried this but know other people do it ,You have to turn battis frequenttly i feel so.
    sorry about pictures as my server is too slow to upload pictures.
    Do tell how your batttis turn up.

    so glad to know that your Dal batti turn up nicely. This is a special & deliciou sdish from Rajasthan do try Churma also & in winter Dal dhokli.

    Hi everyone.Here's a simple Rajasthani recipe from our old neighbour,a Marwari Aunty.

    Guava Curry-At home when guavas are not sweet we don't know what to do.This is a good idea.
    In a pan add some oil.Add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter Add turmeric,red chilli powder, coriander seed powder and stir.Then add the chopped guava and sauté it.Add some water and allow to cook.Add a pinch of sugar if desired(they don't add).Add salt and stir.Add coriander and serve.If you want you can even add some beaten yoghurt and cook.In a similar way,cucumber curry too is made.
