Pearls of happiness In a sea of troubles Peals of laughter In a heap of rubble For every tear God has a sweet pear For every heartache God has a cupcake For every betrayal God has innocence In the metro rails Your sadness is no absolute Your despair is not ultimate There will be relief In a beautiful song In a beautiful butterfly Yes this is all true None of it is a lie I hear ragas of Baiju Bawra I look back at the time of cholera And I think will I get this Pearl of deep joy Even when i am surrounded With so many expensive toys?
Dear @SuiDhaaga, Oh my! how I missed this poetry this long!. Every stanza Deserves a “wow”. Each of this stanza could be quoted juxtaposed to title of a story and also can serve as an article filler at the end of stories in READERS’ DIGEST. Before some one does this, JUST FORWARD THIS POEM TO RD & am sure you would get more accolades and compensation too. I enjoyed the rhyme scheme running here and the undercurrent of optimism ie hope. Thanks and Regards. God Bless.
