I have come across this recipe in one of the TV show and wanted to share this tasty and healthy soup with everyone who missed it. I tried it and liked it.

First let me start with pointing out the nutrition value of radish:
    1) Detoxifier - Bring out the toxins from our body within 2 hours of having it
    2) Increases supply of fresh oxygen in the blood
    3) Helps in reducing obesity
    4) Good for skin
    5) Helps to solve urinary disorder
    6) Good for Liver and gall bladder

Now we know how good this veg is, let us look at the ingredients and method to do this soup,

    Ingredients:

    1) Grated radish
    2) Onion
    3) Tomato
    4) Pepper powder
    5) Salt
    6) Cooking oil
    7) Tumeric powder
    8) Coriander leave

    Method:

    1) Add some oil (I prefer using olive oil for soups)
    2) Add the grated radish and wait for the raw radish smell to go off
    3) Add tumeric powder and pepper
    4) When the raw smell of radish is gone fully add onion and then tomato(to reduce the strong smell of radish)
    5) Stir everything for few mins till everything becomes soft
    6) Add salt
    7) Then add water and bring it to boil. Add water according to your preference of soup consistency
    8) Add coriander leaves
    9) Then close it with a the lid and bring it to low flame
    10) After few mins check that the radish have boiled fully and then switch off the stove.
    11) Add pepper while you serve it.

This is a simple and healthy dish. Many of us might avoid radish for it smell, but this soup is definitely worth a try.

I think it can be done in normal vessel with lid.

    Hi Sharmila,

Normal vessel with lid should be fine. It doesn't take much time to boil.
