R3 Presario Compaq - Power Jack - Urgent

    This model is notorious for its power jack problems. Not sure if it s still in market, but just be beware of buying R3000 Presario.
    I need to know if there is any store which will rectify the problem. I consulted at Best Buy and they said they will not open this model. I am hunting for mom and pop stores now.
    Has anyone else encountered such problems ? Small electronic problems in comps ?
    If I were to get it serviced at Compaq, it s so expensive that they say I can might as well buy a new laptop..
    I miss India so much :-( in this regard.
    No one is ready to touch the laptop now:-(
    Kindly help if u know something about this!!!
