Hi guys, I have been a silent reader in this forum for Quiet a while. Its comforting when you know that you are not alone and there are lot of people going through same things. Iam planning to R2I chennai in 2016 and wondering if there is anyone just like me. Regards Deepz
Me too. But my husband is still against my idea of moving back to Chennai and is planning to remain here for a while.Even though my parents/ in laws may help with this move, they cannot stay with me in Chennai. I am looking for schools for my 9 yr old daughter and have plans to rent a safe apartment near by the school. I have to manage alone with 2 kids and know it is going to be really tough. I am planning to give my 100% to make this work.
Hi Rama, Nice to see a reply after so many days. Why doesn't your husband want to join you? My in-laws live in Arumbakkam and I will be living with them. I haven't thought about school yet. My boys are right now 9 and 7 years old. Where will you settle in chennai? Tata Deepa
He is working for US based company and not possible for internal transfer. So he doesn't want to handle all the stress at the same time(job/school/house) search. Planning to settle in Perungudi/Madipakkam(near BIL's house). Not yet finalized. I am also looking for apartments with 24 hrs security and schools near by in OMR. How are your boys feeling about this move? Will they be going to school in Arumbakkam?
I have asked them about how would they feel about move but they would reply by saying " Vacation is Ok but not staying forever and that they would miss their friends here.." I told my husband to talk about it to kids.
Hi , I am in same boat. However i think i may return Chennai after 3 years which is 2018 :-( We need to buy a house and pay that loan there before we go there . Also my husband is half hearted in returning. We both work in IT. Regards Chn
Hi Chinmaye, I will move May2016. I am trying to find somebody who has their kid studying in Chennai Public School in Anna Nagar because that is the only option for my kid for school. Three years is a long time yar and so many change will come before that. Bye Deepa
